In
the
General
Assembly
in
May
2000,
we
presented
the
first
two
honorary
awards
of
the
University.
The
following
annual
distinctions
were
created:
-
Gold
Medal
Science
and
Peace.
This
will
be
awarded
once
a
year
to
a
person
that
has
distinguished
him
or
herself
in
the
spread
of
culture
and
in
defense
of
world
peace.
The
successful
candidate
for
the
award
will
have
contributed
in
both
areas.

Honorary
Doctorate.
One
honorary
doctorate
will
be
awarded
each
year
to
a
person
that
has
proven
merits
in
both
areas.
