ALBERT SCHWEITZER International University, established in memory of the Nobel Prize 1952, Dr. Albert Schweitzer, is supported by seven laureate with the Nobel Peace Prize; they symbolize the character of educational institution born of the seed of Peace. Philanthropic institutions and hundreds of professors all around the world converge in this project, with the only interest of promoting an idea of Peace and defence of life. The award of the Science and Peace Medal to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and to its General Director Dr Mohammed ElBaradei in 2003, two years before receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, confirms the good direction of a proyect that began with the vocation of being used as setting of reflection and point of meeting in a world in which science, Peace and progress do not always follow the same way.
