Prof. Dr. Milija Zecevic
The Honorary PhD in Human Rigths of ALBERT SCHWEITZER INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY has been granted to the Rector of European University,
Prof. Dr. Milija Zečević, who was born November 05, 1940 in Vasojevići, village of Vinicka. He finished his high school in Berane. He graduated at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Belgrade University - Department of Mathematics. He acquired his Master degree at the Institute of Economics in Belgrade and was awarded Ph.D. at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, Belgrade University.Starting from 1964 till 1974 he teaches mathematics in several high schools in Belgrade.
From 1974 till 1984, he founded the College for Restaurant & Hotel Management in Belgrade and was its director and professor of mathematics; there were over 8,000 students.
In 1984, he was appointed the director of the Institute for Trade Improvement and in 1985 he turned that research institution into the scientific one.
The establishment of the Institute of International Management in 1988 and Franco-American Management Studies in 1991, marked the beginning of management studies in Yugoslavia based on the American management school programme and principles.
Dr. Zečević was the founding father of the Faculty of International Management in 1993 and has been its Dean ever since; he is the full-time professor for Management and International Management. There are over 1,000 students enrolled in these two Faculties; a great number of them graduated, acquired master degree and some were awarded Ph.D.;
He is the founder and President of the Yugoslav Council of Management Development and Education in 1992;
He has become the member of the European Council of Management (CECIOS) and the World Council of Management (CIOS) in 1989.
Founding member of London Diplomatic Academy (LDA).
Founder and owner of European University of International Management and Business consisting of: Faculty of International Management, Faculty of European Business and Faculty of Small Business Management, in 2000.
Prof. Dr. Milija Zečević has granted 15 scholarships to the students of I, II, III and IV year of basic studies and 7 scholarships to the students of master studies at the European University of International Management and Business.
Prof. Dr. Milija Zečević was a mentor for 13 doctoral dissertations and 22 master thesis enabling the candidates to acquired the scientific degree of Ph.D. in international management and academic title of M.S. of international management.
